NJCR publishes theoretical and empirical papers in Mass Communication and related disciplines. It provides a scholarly forum for research that advances knowledge, interrogates professional practice and strengthens intellectual exchange across media and communication fields.
Aim
NJCR promotes advanced understanding of communication and media operations in developing and developed environments. The journal serves as an academic base for comprehensive research and intellectual exchange that stimulates critical analysis in strategic communication, organisational communication, media studies, journalism, community communication and development communication.

Peer review
All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review by two experts. Reviewer identities remain anonymous to authors. The complete review process may take up to 60 days, and decisions will be communicated as soon as the Editorial Board reaches a determination. Reviewers' comments will be sent promptly to authors.
Research articles may be empirical or non-empirical, but must present carefully analysed and verifiable findings or arguments supported by convincing scholarly procedures. Manuscripts must be concise and should not exceed 7,000 words under the current Author Guidelines.
Archiving and access
All NJCR articles are made available in digital format and archived on the journal website. Published articles are open access and distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence, with copyright retained by the authors.
